Allerton and McBryde Garden in Lawai

Amonst the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean and the mountains that rise above the valley floor you will find significant varieties Palm trees, Heliconias and Gingers, to name just a few. Allerton Garden is the closest garden to the beach, while McBryde is set back a little further in a lovely Lawa'i Valley. The artistic garden contains one-of-a-kind scultures, small waterfalls, fountains and other water features.

McBryde has been tranformed over the years and is now a bountiful home to tropical flora of many varieties. The garden includes the Lawa'i stream running directly through the grounds which have a plethora of micro-climates (wet, hot and dry, cool and inludes lakes, cliffs and meadows too.)

Both McBryde and Allerton Garden our managed by the National Tropical Botanical Trust in Kauai. Another wonderful garden the NTBT manages is the Limahuli National Botanical Garden located in a beautiful valley on the North shore of the Garden Island.
